Little ones will love learning about our atua of Aotearoa with this natural wooden puzzle. With its big pieces (easy to hold and play), bold illustrations and bright colours it makes a great activity for pēpi & tamariki.
The puzzle includes nine of the most widely known atua Māori:
- Papatūānuku
- Ranginui
- Tāwhirimātea
- Tāne Māhuta
- Rongomātāne
- Rūaumoko
- Tangaroa
- Haumia-tiketike
- Tūmatauenga
When the puzzle blocks are removed, a uniquely-shaped, colour-coded space remains in the cavity, where the atua's name is written.
It's a great way for tamariki to learn about these nine atua, while developing many cognitive skills. Here are a few:
- Hand-Eye Coordination & Visual-Spatial Reasoning
- Fine Motor Skills
- Memory and Cognitive Skills
- Problem Solving
- Improved Concentration & Patience
- Objectives & Goals
- Shape & colour recognition
- Teamwork
This puzzle makes a lovely gift!
