HĀ TUA Feature & Giveaway

HĀ TUA - Issue 03 - Mahuru 2023

As part of Mahuru Māori, the month of September, a time in which we celebrate te reo Māori at all levels, we wanted to encourage whānau by making it fun as we know learning te reo Māori can be challenging. However, thanks to the passion and research of te reo speakers, we continue to find safe and innovative and community.

Founded in 2020, Kura Rēhia was formed by friends who are grounded in a deep connection and respect for te reo and Māori culture and celebrate this through fun and play. Kura Rēhia creates board games, resources, and events for bilingual Aotearoa. They aim for Aotearoa to experience te reo Māori as central to how we have fun together as whānau and friends.

“Our bilingual board games help whānau and schools learn te reo Māori though playing together (rather than memorising lists of words), creating deep learning and connections” — Kura Rēhia.

Kia kawea tātou e te rēhia.
Let us be taken by the spirit of play.
