Te Matatini 2023 - Whuuuu!
Where to begin? Ka mau te ihi, te wehi, te wana! The kapa shone bright at Ngā Ana Wai, but the glory of Te Matatini is so much bigger and wider than the stage.
We had an amazing experience rolling with the konei.nz crew in the Marketplace. Toi Tangata and Hāpai Hauora also hosted kēmu Kaupapa with the giant game of Kaupapa. Tens of thousands of people came through and had a tutū... we also lost a lot of kāri from the display copy of Kaupapa - glad that people took a shining to them, and it's true they're the same size as business cards!
Thanks to everyone who came through, it was a huge wiki, and we're blown away by the quality of the kapa. The whole event was really something for Aotearoa to be proud of.
